F-18 Fighter Jet crashes in Sandigo Deigo. A US millitary F-18 Fighter jet
has crashed into a residential neighbourhood in San Diego. For the full story

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said in a statement jet pilot ejected from the plane,
as is its approach for landing at a military base in Miramar, shortly before noon
Monday (local time).

There were no immediate reports of the pilot or the status of injured on the ground,
said Mr. Gregor. The plane has crashed in a residential area, he added. Television
images showed smoke billowing from the accident site in well-wrapped in a suburban
neighborhood near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
No one is on earth should be considered injured, but there are some reports that there
may be a second pilot on board. "At this point, the only indication is that the only person
who can be injured is the pilot, Monica Muñoz, spokesman for the San Diego police,
said local television station KNSD.
Corporal Frances Goch, a spokesman for the Air Station, said that the aircraft F-18 training
squadron. A pilot landed at an area high school baseball. Witnesses told local radio that the
pilot might be the item in a crash near Grand Canyon, and thus avoiding the school.
Gayle Newcomb, an assistant professor at the University City High School, near the disaster
site, said the plane "completely lost the school and all students are safe.
