As we seen the rules given by Shri Swaminarayan for their Disciples. But there is only 15 rules that I give to you. Other is over in this post for you devotee people of Shree Swaminarayan God. So enjoy this Shikshapatri other part on this blog.
One shall never utter the truth, which may cause betrayal of oneself and others. One shall give up the company of ungrateful persons and shall not accept bribe from anybody. ||16||
One shall not keep company of thieves , sinners , addicts, hypocrites, passionate persons and alchemists who cheats the people by his tricks. ||17||
None shall associate him with persons who , under the pretext of devotion or knowledge , are engaged in sinful acts as they are conveted in a woman, wealth and tastes of foods. ||18||
One shall never listen of believe the scripture in which , Lord Shri Krishna and his incarnations like 'Varah' are skillfully refuted. ||19||
None shall drink unfiltered water if milk and none shall use water full of germs for bathing etc. ||20||
My disciples shall never take medicines containing liquor or meat or medicines by a physician whose conduct is not known. ||21||
None shall make bodily excretion like passing of urine or motion or even spit at the places like dilapidated temples , banks of river or pond, roads, shown fields , under the shady trees, flower gardens etc. whereby such things are prohibited by the scriptures or the society. ||22||
None shall enter or pass through unauthorized passages and none shall put up in a private place without the consent of its owner. ||23||
My male followers shall not listen to religious discourses being delivered by a woman not he shall enter into debate or controversy with a woman, ruler or his conrtiers/officials. ||24||
None shall insult preceptors , superiors and persons having status in the society , scholars and armed persons. ||25||
No work should be done immediately (without due thinking) but work relating to religion should be immediately. One should impart the knowledge acquired by him to others and one shall ever keep the company of saints. ||26||
None shall approach a preceptor , a deity or a king empty handed and none shall commit a breach of trust of anybody and none shall do self-praise. ||28||
My followers shall not wear such indecent garment, which even after putting it on, expose the parts of the body. ||29||
None shall perform the devotion of Lord Shri Krishna devoid of religion in any way nor one shall give up the worship of Shri Krishna for fear of criticism by the ignorant people. ||30||
While being in the temple on a celebration , my male followers shall not touch females and females followers not touch males but outside the temple they may behave as usual. ||31||
All my Brahmin , Kshatriya and Vaishya ('Dvija' as they are called in 'Sanskrit') followers who are initiated into the devotion of Lord Shro Krishna by a preceptor descended from the family of Shri Dharmdev shall always put on around their neck a double 'Kanthi' (rosary) of Tulsi beads and shall make a vertical Tilak Mark on their forehead, chest and on both the arms. ||32||
This Tilak should be made of Gopichandan (i.e. white earth of Dwarika) or white sandal-wood paste mixed with saffron and kumkum left over after having been offered to Lord Shri Krishna while performing 'Puja'. ||33||
In the middle of that Tilan a round shaperd mark should be done with Gopichandan or with sanctified kumkum duly offered to Radhikaji or Laxmiji. ||34||
The devotees of Shree Krishna who belong to higher backward classes (i.e. Satshudras) observing their own 'Dharm' (riligion) shall, not wear 'Tulsi-Mala' (Kanthi of Tulsi beads) and imprint Tilak (religious mark) just like my followers of other three 'Varnas' (i.e. Brahmins, Kshatriya and Vaishya) ||35||
The devotees belonging to the castes lower that the 'Satshudras' shall wear around their necks, double Knathi (rosary) of sandal beadsm duly sanctified by offering it to God and shall make on their forehead, only a round mark (Chandla) without vertical Tilak. ||36||
The Brahmins and otheres who have been doing 'Tripund' i.e. horizontal Tilak on their forehead and putting on a rosary of 'Rudraksha' as part of their family traditions shall not abandon this practice even after their becoming our followers. ||37||
Narayan and Shivji Should be treated /understood one because both are described as 'Brahmpura' (from of brahm) in Vedas. ||38||
In little exigency our followers shall never resort to relaxations permitted by the scripture under sheer exigency. ||39||
This all are the Shikshapatri rules given by the Lord Shree Swminarayn for their disciples. If this all the rules from 1 to 39 get obey then the man or woman is be the disciples of Shri Swaminarayana.
